Cultural Caravan is inspired by Prespa, a rural valley of Greece, enclosed by its geographical position and its history. Marking the triple border between Albania, Macedonia and Greece, Prespa has long been a conflict area and a closed military zone where the presence of foreigners was forbidden. Organizing an artistic residency in the villages of Prespa was an opportunity for young European artiststo explore the area. It also allowed locals to meet their European neighbors during shows like they had never seen.

Cultural Caravan brought together 40 young circus artists, actors, mimes, dancers and musicians from France, Greece, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden and Turkey. Practicing various arts, they animated 2 weeks of artistic activities in the premises of various villages and created a show using dance, theater, music and circus, that they represented in different villages of the region.
